As a service to PHM students, we have made arrangements for several outstanding private
instructors to teach individual lessons during band class times.  These lessons are not intended
to lure students already established with another instructor.  Experience shows that many students benefit from the individual attention of private instruction--and busy schedules and
transportation problems can make it difficult to schedule lessons at a music studio in the
evening.  The program is offered on the following basis:

 1. Private lessons are offered on a voluntary basis.  Payments are
  made directly to the instructors.

 2. Lessons will be taught during your child's Band period in the
  Music Department area.

 3 Lessons at Penn High School are $10.00 per 30 minutes.

 4. A PHM Music Instructor will be on the premises during in-school lesson times to
  supervise the program.

 5. The Private Teachers will be qualified instructors who have been
  screened by the Penn Instrumental Music Division Leader.

The program will be of great benefit to individual students.  Although it is certainly not
mandatory, we urge you to consider this unique opportunity.
